Swelling and Bruising

Swelling and bruising are common side effects following procedures such as dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle injections. These symptoms are usually temporary and resolve within a few days, though in some cases they may persist longer.

Redness and Irritation

You may experience localised redness, tenderness, or irritation at the treatment site. This typically subsides within a few hours to days after the procedure.

Pain or Discomfort

Infection

There is a small risk of infection any time the skin barrier is compromised. Please report any signs of infection such as increasing redness, heat, swelling, pain, or discharge.

Allergic Reactions

Asymmetry or Irregular Results

Skin Damage or Scarring

Pigment Changes (e.g. after laser or chemical peels)

Changes in skin pigmentation may occur, particularly in individuals with darker skin tones. This can include both hyperpigmentation (darkening) and hypopigmentation (lightening) of the skin. These changes are usually temporary but can be permanent in rare cases.

Delayed Onset Nodules (Injectables)

With certain injectable products, delayed inflammatory nodules may form weeks or months post-treatment. These may require further management, including medication or specialist review.

Psychological Impact
